Santa’s Study

We were commissioned by Sheffield BID to transform the inside of an empty shop unit into an immersive family experience that ran throughout November and December in the lead up to Christmas. It was a space where children could come to write their letters to Santa. Visitors were ushered through a gold sequined curtain into a magical twilit forest. In the forest they found a little wooden house with Santa’s cosy and festive study inside. The study was packed with fun and interesting details to discover, for kids and grown ups alike. After writing their letters to Santa, children posted them into an interactive post box with swirling lights and sounds. We sourced and re-worked reclaimed props and furniture which we up-cycled, painted and repurposed. And we added a multitude of small details only to be discovered by those who looked for them. The space had a handmade feel, rich and full of detail. A window display made of handmade paper trees and giant gold stars invited people in.
